I've had a Burley Flatbed for maybe 7yrs. It's been extremely reliable. I would just say one thing: do not attach the hitch to a bike that has nuts and no through axle bolt without getting the proper conversion nut for it. The threads are too short, and the wheel will be ruined when the nut loosens. A bike trailer allows you to live car free, and haul all kinds of sporting equipment for the weekends! I would suggest the Flatbed over the one with a cover.

My first proper bike, a Raleigh Grand Prix if I remember correctly, got a significant upgrade with a Brooks saddle which I rode for years and years and I don’t remember ever having trouble with comfort. When I upgraded to a newer bike about 10 years later I gave it to my nitwit uncle who left the bike out in the rain and totally wrecked the that lovely saddle! Grrrrr. Recently bought a gravel bike and am looking to upgrade the saddle, thanks for reminding me about these wonderful products.

I do have this exact same trailer and I love it long haul camping trips but the fabric is wearing through a little bit on the front bottom corners and looking for a good solution?

After hers of using various makes of padded shorts I've found you definitely don't need them ,After having a professional bike fit ,I use a suspension seat post & seamless boxers ,much much more comfortable especially on long all day rides .

After several years clipped in [knee issues], I now use flats with "no strap toe clips." This allows my foot to find "home" quickly but gives me flexibility to move foot side to side etc and my knees feel much better. Getting in and out quickly and the ability of my foot to push forward is obvious feature. Use any shoe and some benefits of both flats an clips!

Thanks for sharing this. I needed to see how much work it was to kick it and forget it. I’m currently riding the GDMBR and for me, these are too many steps involved to hop off and do what I need to take care of many times throughout the day in the saddle. I’ll be opting for a heavier version. This kickstand seems good for a once a day sort of thing, I’d be willing to do all those steps to set it up. But for a 6-9 hour day riding, and all my quick pee stops and such, I need a hop off and kick it and do my thing and then in kick it and be riding on

I bought a turing bike with flat petals. After that. I changed my road bike from clipless to flat. I think for many, the clipless pedal is an improper adaptation of racing technology.

I had the B17 in black for years, more years than I'd like to admit. It was used on a long line of bikes. Ultimately it was stolen off my bike. My butt has never been the same.

5:09 is there a correlation between the weight of the riders and how long the break in period was? It would make sense to me that a heavier rider would stress the leather a little faster than a much smaller rider.

Great video, you two are awesome! Flat pedals with soft soled runners, one year 1700 klm mountain biking and i wore the soles out lol. Went with a MTB shoe specific for mountain biking. But touring around or gravel biking i wear what is comfortable!

Somehow mine just wont wear in even a little. Not even after 1000km its just hard as a rock and hurts my ass. Can it be i have the tention too tight ?
